Why is this a week long?

The ceremony and the party will be Friday, May 21st, early evening and into the night. We know getting to Israel is a long trip, and we appreciate you traveling for this. We want to make this a great vacation. It's also important to us that we get to show you what makes Israel special to us, and to meet friends from different chapters of our lives. Nothing would make us happier than each of you leaving with 1-2 new friends and a favorite cafe or bar in Tel Aviv.

BUT, if you can't make it for a whole week, we completely understand. We promise to help you plan an amazing vacation in Israel with us, whether it's just for the weekend or for the week before.

When should I book?

Sooner is better, but we recommend booking something flexible with a major airline.

How do I get from Tel Aviv to Merhavia? How do I get back afterwards?

We'll organize transport from Tel Aviv, including a bus back to Tel Aviv at the end of the night. We'll send updates closer to the date with logistics details. We recommend taking the Nina approach to travel in Israel. Book your flight, and show up ready to be a passenger princess.

What's Shabbat, and does it affect me?

Shabbat runs from Friday evening to Saturday night. Public transport stops on Friday afternoon and starts up again Saturday evening, and many shops and restaurants close. None of this touches the wedding, but don't plan to catch a train anywhere on Friday afternoon, and if you're flying home on Saturday, check your timings carefully.

What actually happens at the ceremony?

We're excited to create a blend of Jewish and Chinese traditions, but we're still figuring it out. Pray for us that we get our act together in time!

What's Moshav Merhavia?

It's Tal's hometown, and where his family has been since 1922. Most Israelis have never heard of it, so you shouldn't feel bad if you haven't.

Can I bring my kids?

Yes, please do.

Can I bring a plus-one?

Yes! Just let us know in the RSVP link.

Is coming to Israel safe? And what happens if things change before May 2027?

Tradition says you don't postpone a wedding, so we won't. Book cancellable flights. If things change and traveling here becomes difficult, we'll move the wedding rather than move the date.

And if you have questions, call us. We'd rather talk it through than have you quietly decide not to come.
